Taxpayers, you're wasting your money educating me

I have to work pretty hard to get by here. I hate it but I do it. I do it because the only thing worse than staying here for four years is staying here for five.
All I ask is that I should be able to check my mail in 5 minutes. If that is too much to ask, I have to say IIT's not worth the heartburn.
Seriously, just what the fuck is wrong with the Internet?

Engineering is all about hard work and pressure dear, be it at the IITs or elsewhere. The only major issue at the IITs is that you have a brand-name maintenance problem, failing which you are put to blame. People perceive you to be super intelligent and overly talented, and they snatch away from you your basic self...
All I would say, that despite all this, IITs are worth the heartburn, for you have the pride and happiness of being associated with the best institute in India, and most of the times, it ensures success without much of an effort, at a later stage though. Ask people like me (who arent IITians) what being in IIT is like...lol.
